The contact owns a 2003 Chevrolet Cavalier. The contact stated while driving approximately 45 mph, she attempted to engage the horn, but it failed to function. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer who informed the contact that the vehicle needed a new canceling cam. The vehicle was also taken to an independent repair shop and the contact was informed that the vehicle needed a new clock spring assembly. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 45,000.

Problem started same week I purchase vehicle brand new. GMC would not exchange vehicle, they just kept repairing it as it broke down. I feel very unsafe in this vehicle, they did not care. Clutch was rubbing against main line, failed twice. Rear lights burned out 3 times, springs on seats popped out 3 times, gas pump went out once, heater/ac went out twice, locks would not open, 3 times, pain chipped off bumper, once. Rear seat clips snapped, once. Headlights, water leaked in. Twice I had a head on collision in June/2007...air bag did not deploy.

The contact owns a 2003 Chevrolet Cavalier. While driving 55 mph in dry conditions the contact swerved in order to avoid hitting a deer. As a result, the vehicle struck a tree head on and then swerved and struck a second tree on the driver's side door. The front air bags and side air bags failed to deploy. The vehicle was destroyed, and the contact sustained severe injuries. The contact was wearing a seat belt. A police report was taken. The contact has pictures of the vehicle. The current and failure mileages were 62,207. The consumers son was driving the vehicle. The seat belt did not lock into place as the brakes were applied for about 40 deet before impact. : the contact stated while driving 100 mph control of the vehicle was lost resulting in a crash into an embankment and the vehicle flipped over. Although seat belts were worn, the driver was ejected from the vehicle which resulted in a fatality. The air bags did not deploy. A police report was filed. Since the contact was not the owner of the vehicle, no other information was available. The dealer has not been alerted.

Chevrolet Cavalier Z 2003, multiple failures. The defroster would not clear the windows, the heater did not work, the air bag light illuminated because there was a split in the center of the steering wheel. When the consumer made a right turn a noise was heard. The left rear turn signal bulb was replaced, the right rear brake light bulb. There was a noise coming from the front of the vehicle, the dealer lubed the front sway bar bushing. The tires were over inflated, so the vehicle would sway when going over bumps, the blower motor, and heater control was replaced. The ABS lamp illuminated. The vehicle needed brake pads. There was mold on the drivers front door. The ac compressor was replaced. The window went down extremely slow, the dealer lubed the window track and regulator. The fog light bulb was inoperative, the door latch was inoperative.
