Problem originally with locks going up and down at random when driving. This went on for several weeks until I started car one morning in winter to clear windshield and opened back seat to put in my briefcase. When I closed the back door the locks started locking and unlocking and I had to wait for the driver's door to unlock in order to get in. Since I purchased the car used in 2010 and the car was out of warranty I went (unfortunately) to a local mechanic. Since I am a senior on a limited he was my best bet.

He replaced two sensors at the cost of $950. The sensors worked for about 2 days and then my remote stopped working. At the time I was so frustrated I left it. Now the power locks only operate from the drivers door. I manually lock when I get out and unlock with the key when I get in. Also, the car alarm starts to beep and if car is not started immediately the alarm sounds. If I try to access the car from the passenger door or open the trunk the alarm immediately sounds.
