I bought my Cobalt in July 2005 and received my car with 97 miles on it by Dec 2005 my steering wheel started to shake so i took it to GM dealership and they told me that my brake pads were already wear down and my routers needed to be ground down so it was under warranty so they fixed it for free, in April 2006 steering wheel would shake like crazy again my brake light would flash randomly so took my car back to dealership and told them what was going on said my brakes were fine but routers had to be replaced they couldn't grind them down again so they replaced it still under warranty, Aug 06 same problem this time it was my brakes had to be completely replaced and they couldn't tell me why i kept having these problems so again warranty covered it, however the same month after they replaced my brakes the steer wheel would still shake they told me i needed tires because they were only good for 35000 miles so i took it to another place to get tires as was 400.00 cheaper then the dealership and they told me to put on 60000 miles tires and route take them every other oil change, so that caused my steer wheel issue til Feb 07 game around and then had problems with my brakes and routers again, needless to say seems like every 6th months i have to have either a brand new brake kit, or just brake pads or new routers i have replaced them 3 times out of my pocket because the warranty was up and it cost me over 400.00 each time to have them replaced and i didn't go to GM to replace them either bc they wanted over 700.00 bc of there labor rate and i was told the reason why is bc the time of rim that is on the car shows the brakes wheel bearings and stuff and with the IL weather rain, snow it hits that bc not covered very well and it rusts... I know 3 other people with same make/model/yr that have the same problems with there break system as well and this should also be recalled
