When traveling in any gear in my bone stock 2005 Chevy Cobalt 2.2 coupe, if I attempt to accelerate quickly the clutch slips and the car wont accelerate at all. It feels like the pressure plate doesn't apply enough pressure to hold the disc. It has almost caused me to be rear ended a couple of times now. The car has a little over 20,000 miles on it so it's still fairly new and I am not a first timer driving a manual. All of my vehicles have had manual transmissions. I drive the car in a normal fashion, I don't abuse it. The clutch assembly should not be failing on such a new vehicle.

Clutch on my 2005 Cobalt ss will not clamp down at high rpms in second gear. It feels like the pressure plate is not grabbing hard enough.
