I had no idea when I bought the car that it had an automatic "power down" feature that is very dangerous when trying to drive in snow or slush. I literally got stuck in my driveway 3 times this past winter and in the middle of a highway while stopped at a stop sign and couldn't get going again. A nice man stopped to help me. When I told him what happened he smiled and said he would give it a try. He obviously didn't believe me. He actually got it to go sideways in the road and had to use his truck to pull me off the road. All he said was, "You weren't kidding." Needless to say, I missed several days of work and after that I had to borrow someone's car if I needed to go to work.

I tried to get the dealership where I bought the car to help me remedy the problem. No luck there and the salesman even admitted he had heard others experience this same problem. The closest answer to "solving" the problem was to buy a different car from them that didn't have this feature.

I've been driving for 40 years and I think this "feature" is the most ridiculous and dangerous "safety feature" ever!

How it was even allowed is a mystery to me...
