Ac blower fan works in high only. Upon checking the wiring I notices the resistor and the wire harness were burnt which caused the problem. I replaced the wire harness and resistor which fixed the problem. Upon further searching I found many others with the same problem and some that ended up in fires under the dash.

2005 Chevy Colorado with around 84,000 miles (blown engine)!!! broken piston connecting rod; putting two holes on each side of the cylinder with the piston rod sticking completely through the opposite side of the cylinder. Oil and smoke that came from the vehicle could have caused a terrible accident, especially if there had been a motorcycle behind me. Replaced engine myself due to GM doing nothing. Filed a case with them and it was denied.
