My airbag light came on. The code said it is my driver seat saftey belt.

The contact owns a 2005 Chevrolet Colorado. The contact was a passenger in the vehicle when the driver, who was traveling 65 mph, abruptly applied the brakes in an attempt to avoid striking a deer. The driver crashed into the deer and the air bags deployed, but the front passenger seat belt did not restrain the contact in the seat. The driver's side seat belt worked properly. The contact sustained shoulder and chest injuries from the crash. The vehicle was not inspected or repaired for the failure. The VIN was not available. The vehicle was sold. The failure mileage was 87,000.

The contact owns a 2005 Chevrolet Colorado. The contact noticed the air bag light illuminated on the instrument panel. Whenever the front driver seat was occupied and the seat belt was not engaged, the fasten seat belt warning indicator failed to chime. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for inspection and they informed the contact that the air bag and seat belt pre tensioner needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the problem. Updated 06/26/12

2005 chev Colorado. Truck 4X4 wet roads, came around curve 35 mph lost control front end went into hillside. Air bag did not deploy! truck then rolled over smashing driver side door and roof. Seat belt broke. Roof caved in and bed.
