A 2006 Chevy Colorado was having misfires prior to September 2010. This caused the check engine light to come on and so I took it to a Chevy dealership for a diagnosis. The diagnosis is the same for thousands of Chevy Colorado engines as they need new seals, bolts, and a new head. My service manager said this has been a major issue with this engine since the introduction of this vehicle and it is due to a mechanical flaw and not wear and tear. These engines have put a major burden on General Motors/Chevrolet customers as they have to spend large amounts of money to correct a mechanical flaw noticed by many certified mechanics. Please take this information into consideration as I have done extensive research in finding that this is not an isolated problem and numerous customers have been failed by this such company.
