The passlock system has become more of an issue with this vehicle. The vehicle will not start almost two to three times a week. Not only does this come at the most un-opportune time after 10 minutes or more to wait for the system to reset. After reading this post, I see that I am not the only one with this problem. I have had to wait up to 30 minutes sometimes to get the truck started again. His has become more of a problem.so far there has not been a dangerous situation where this problem has happened. But it gets to a point that your afraid to turn the engine off, for fear of being stranded somewhere. The truck had been to the dealer many times for this problem they were unable to fine out what was wrong.they replaced the ignition switch, inside the steering column and the problem stopped. The fuel pump on the vehicle failed and the vehicle was leaking gas and that had to be replaced and the vent valve on the gas tank just failed and had to be replaced (76,000 miles). Thank you for your consideration.

The contact owns a 2006 Chevrolet Colorado. The contact stated that the plastic line that went from the fuel tank to the engine was cracked and causing a leak. The contact mentioned that fuel was being sprayed near the exhaust pipe, which the contact was concerned could potentially lead to a fire. The vehicle was taken to a local mechanic who verified the failure and replaced the fuel tank. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The vehicle was repaired. The VIN was not available. The failure mileage was 25,000 and the current mileage was 32,000.

Went to dealership in san angelo tx, did diagnostic for engine light being on dealership said problem was P0017 (cam actuator) did not have the money to fix it at the time dealership said it would be ok to drive it as is. Did research online and looked it up on book at auto parts store and P0017 says this "crankshaft position camshaft position correlation - bank 1 sensor B" what ever that means. But now I have major problems I still have that and a few more codes I have P0014 exhaust camshaft position timing over - advanced (bank 1), and P0300 random misfire detected.

2006 Chevrolet Colorado 3.5 liter 4X4 fuel leak at the fuel tank where the fuel feed line connects to the fuel tank by a quick connector. This is a high pressure line and the fuel was spraying out which could have potentially caused a fire and explosion from the hot exhaust. It appears that safety is being compromised for quick assembly. Complaint # 2 engine power is reduced when codes for throttle position sensor. When code is cleared or erased full power resumes. It appears that is not necessary to reduce power for this code.

My 2006 Chevrolet Colorado has been at the two different dealerships and the problem is occurring. Problem, is that the motor will turn over but will not start. After 10 minutes the vehicle will turn over and then start. Since the dealer can't replicate no error codes are reported when connected to the computer. This happens intermittently.
