The contact owns a 2006 Chevrolet Colorado. The vehicle has general, size P235R15 tires. The front tires were extremely worn on the outer edges. The dealer replaced the front tires once and rotated them twice. The dealer stated that the tires should be rotated every 3,000 miles. The cause of the failure was unknown. The VIN and dot number were unknown. The failure mileage was 3,000 and current mileage was 7,300. The consumer stated Nissan protector part is a recommendation as part of the repair. The contact owns a 2006 Chevrolet Colorado. The vehicle has general ameri-GS60 tires (P235/75R15). While driving 45 mph, the contact heard a loud humming noise. Seconds later, he heard a booming noise and noticed that the sidewall was missing on the driver side rear tire. As of June 25, 2007, the dealer has not determined the cause of failure. The current mileage is 6,836 and failure mileage was 6,780.
