Colorado Acess Cab 2.9L 4 cyl

  • Automatic transmission
  • 600 miles

I happened to notice that the driver side back side of the truck seemed lower than the passenger side. I measured the distance from the level ground to the top of the bumper and sure enough it was about one inch lower than the passenger side. I never use the truck to carry heavy items and nothing was in the truck when I measured the difference. I took it to the Chevrolet dealer and they agreed that it was lower on the driver side but said they could not repair it until the truck has at least 7000 miles on it. They said it was probably "strapped down hard" during shipment to the dealer and I should wait to see if it "corrects itself" over time. Since I only drive about 7,000 miles per year I do not want to drive a lop sided vehicle for the neat year. I plan to contact General Motors on this to get resolved ASAP.
