Got a warning light come on about 9 months ago,"TPM-Low tire". Took it to mechanic, replaced 2 tire pressure monitoring devices...low battery. Worked about 6 weeks, warning light came back on, went back to mechanic, got the 2 t.p.m. devices not replaced last time, replaced. Worked about 6 more weeks, TPM came on again, went to different mechanic, aired up tires to what inside of door said (now I learn that there is a recall on wrong tire pressure stickers...but no correct pressure posted) they inflated all of them to 35 pounds...Max. required by door sticker. Worked for about 2 days, TPM low tire light came back on. I bought a tire gauge and checked all 4 tires myself 3 were 35 pounds, 1 was 36 pounds. So, no low tire.

Contacted old mechanic again, said he would have to pull the dash to fix it...that not OK...the labor would eat up the benefits. A few days later, the "Change Oil" light came on. I looked at my last oil change sticker which showed that I had traveled 1122 miles in the last 4 and one half months. Personally checked the oil dip stick, oil was clean but only filled to the bottom line on the safe zone. I added a pint of motor oil. Light still on and TPM Low Tire light alternates with Change Oil light now.

Does Chevrolet have anyone else complaining about false warning lights on dashboards of an '07 Chevy Colorado? I have simply resorted to checking my own tires and tire pressure and checking my own oil and water level, just like I did on old vehicles in the 1960's. Computers...making idiots out of all of us simply by malfunctioning.
