Truck won't start for 10 minutes or so while in a parked position, and at times just after turning the vehicle off, it would not start. Intermittent starting issue. Has happened several times recently, stop to get gas and went to start truck and won't start after trying the key and popping the hood to check connections. Would attempt to start vehicle and nothing happens, no sound when turning the key, but all dash lights come on, radio works, horn works when trying to start. Waited a few minutes and tried again, repeated this several times after waiting a few minutes in between, then finally when trying after approximately 10 minutes, the truck would start. Called onstar the first time it happened, while talking to person making arrangements to tow, attempted to start vehicle while talking to tech assistance, finally the vehicle started. All during this issue the vehicle is in a stopped stationary position, engine turned off. Does not matter if in a parking lot, gas station by a pump, in my driveway or on the street parked. Have taken the vehicle to the dealership, they were unable to replicate the starting issue, claiming it was my battery, they tested and it flat lined. They charged for a battery ac delco, and didn't put that brand in my vehicle. They put in a low amperage battery with low cca. Yet billed me for the ac delco. I have called them and questioned them. This is fraudulent activity on the part of the dealership, overbilling and not putting the correct battery in the vehicle. Still the vehicle has this issue. Initially started 12/30/2019 and then again 1/10/2020 and the very last time 1/13/2020, all after arriving to my destination to work or at a gas station, when attempting to leave, this incident occurs. It has been suggested that the GM passlock system is going into "safety mode" for some reason. This information is from another source.

The passlock feature on the truck engages frequently without cause making me sit and wait out the 10-minute delay. This is always inconvenient, especially at the gas station with long lines behind me. This problem has the potential for being a safety hazard. The internet has a passlock by-pass procedures but I'm reluctant to modify the vehicle without GM's authorization. The local dealer had the truck for some time and came back with unable to find fault. The issue is so random that unless the truck is in their possession for a week it will not do it. This problem has me very much frustrated.
