It's very sad that Chevy does not own up to there defects anymore oil pump failure should not happen on any engine with regular maintenance as it did on my truck. This 3.6l v6 not only has a problem with high oil consumption and bad oil filter set up. that if there filter is not used it will mess up your motor and they do not tell you that, but a lot of forums talk about it. But there's an updated oil pump which I read that one guy changed it out 3 times before he got the new pump to work.
I have many older Chevy trucks a 68 c10 6 cyl. still has its original pump that works fine as well as my 71 GMC Sierra grande camper special 402bb still works fine my 06 5.3l Silverado still works fine. So what the hell is wrong with there 2016 3.6l v6 on the Colorado at 45,000 miles and why don't they fix or own up to it?
