On November 24th 2017, while stopping to make a right turn, my 2016 extended cab, Chevrolet Colorado 4WD turned itself off. With the brakes not working and into the intersection of a 4 way stop, I put the gear in park to stop the vehicle. I restarted and everything was normal. No accident and no injuries. On November 28, 2017, on my way home from work, while driving straight in traffic on us /route 40 in Maryland, my Colorado turned itself off, brakes didn't work, resulting in rear ending the vehicle stopped in front of me. The brakes did not work, the air bags did not work (did not deploy). There was significant damage to my Colorado, and I have chest bone (sternum) injuries.

Noises coming from steering wheel from day the truck was new has been my complaint. I took the truck to the dealer several times for repairs. GM and their dealer J.P. Chevrolet in peru, il. Installed felt tape inside the air bag compartment the first and second attempt which did not work. Now they have smeared krytox grease on all the horn components right behind the air bag thinking this will work. Has not helped. Over and over I have asked for GM and the dealer to replace my steering wheel to no avail. GM and J.P. Chevrolet in peru, il. Will not do this. I am at my wits end with the run around. I truly believe GM is waiting for the years end warranty to complete so they can write it off the books and tell me it's your problem now. I hope you can help.
