Colorado Z71 3.6L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 15,000 miles

I bought this 2018 Chevrolet Colorado Z71 4x4 crew cab long bed 3.6L V6 with 6,500 miles on the odometer in February of 2019 and began to experience the rear brakes squeak/grinding about a year later at 15,000 miles. This issue slowly gets worse the more miles you put on. This was covered under warranty by the dealership but the dealerships repair was to grease the back of the pads. The issue went away for a few days and came back. After the "repair" I went to a local auto parts store and purchased new rear brake pads and hardware and replaced the following: rear brake pads (both sides), hardware and greased all rear guide pins. This issue has completely gone away and have not had any issues since. The truck is approaching 25,000 miles with no issues.
