The contact owns a 2002 Chevrolet Corvette. The turn signals failed intermittently. When the turn signals are inoperative, the driver cannot use them to signal intent to turn, this condition could result in a crash. For two years, he concluded that the component was temperature sensitive. The dealership concluded that the hazard flasher switch was the cause of the failure. His model type was excluded from recall #03V327000 ( exterior lighting:hazard flashing warning lights:switch). The manufacturer was notified, but because of the age of the vehicle he was not provided with any assistance. The current mileage was approximately 70,000. The failure mileage was approximately 50,000.
