I received a recall from GM for the head lights low beam not working properly. The letter stared that the fuse block in the engine compartment would over heat causing it to expand and then causing a wire to break. This would cause the head lights to turn off and only work on low beam. I brought the car new in 2005 and in the past 10 years have only driven the car 8,450 miles. I have never experienced any problem with the head lights and that may be due to not driving the car very often.

100 miles driven after the Chevy dealer made the necessary repairs required by the recall I have lots of problems. First the heads up would not work, the speedometer would not work and the security light came on. Next the motor had no power and it took 4 or 5 blocks to get the speed up to 35 miles per hour. The abs light and traction conrtol lights also came on. I took it to the dealer and was told that it was low voltage and all was well, two days later I took it back to the same dealer and this time with all the above issues going on and one the engine would not turn off. They again made a repair by replacing the push button starter and again said all is well. Well 2 days later it was back for the 3 rd time for the same problem this time they said it was some switch and it had to be special ordered. The switch finally came in and they installed it and again said the the car was fixed. Two days latter I returned to the dealer for the forth time with the same problems.

They now state that they have ordered a new fuse block for under the hood were the by pass had been install to fix the original problem (which I never had a problem). And that as soon as it came in they would let me know. Going back I called them first thing this morning to tell them about the recall and the work that they had done before. The service manager confirmed that yes he was aware of the work and that may have caused the problem. I am not sure at the point if they will ever be able to repair the car, remember when I took the car in there was nothing wrong with it.

I couldn't get inside to open up my engine hood because my key didnt let me open up my trunk. now problems with my head lights flickering off and on driving down the freeway early morning along with my settings for number 1 on my driver side door panel going hay wired, and doesn't let me program my settings. always got to adjust it doesn't stay programed. how do I go about fixing this problem with not paying a lot of money to have it done because I have no income at this moment to have it fixed there for im not driving it right now parked
