GM agreed the car should NOT need a compressor at 16,000 miles. GM agreed to pay half, costing me about $1000.00. My car was hung up at dealership TWO WEEKS after which GM told me THERE ARE NO COMPRESSORS available in the whole world! That was last month, and there are still NO COMPRESSORS for a 2012 Corvette and NO IDEA when GM will have any. I am in Florida in August with a bad compressor..
MY POINT IS: In addition to MY UNHAPPINESS shouyld GM dealerships (and others) be selling 2012 Corvettes KNOWING THAT THE AIR CANNOT BE FIXED IF IT BREAKS? Should dealers FESS UP and honestly say: "THIS CAR CANT BE FIXED"!
Is it dishonest not to reveal this major problem? And what should GM do for me? Any suggestions?
