Tire hop occurs when the car is turned left or right and increases with speed. Took car to the dealership on Mar 18 2016 and the dealership owner told me this is normal on the C7 Corvette. Car is in for other service issues but the dealer maintains the tire hop is normal. Dealer is Forbes in Waterloo Ontario so I will let them know if some other dealership is aware of a solution. I've spoken to many other C7 drivers who don't experience this problem.
Update from Nov 24, 2016: Dealer has informed that the tire hop is normal with the existing tires on the car. GM recommends I stay with these tires. The burning smell was confirmed by the dealer but never resolved.
