Corvette Z06 6.2L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 22,987 miles

The vehicle is currently sitting at a certified Chevrolet dealer in Iowa. The rim has a crack in it and has since been welded by the dealership who sold the car. They claim they knew nothing about it, but they installed 4 new tires before the purchase, so they knew but like most just kept it quiet. Now this has become a safety hazard. I am waiting on my warranty company to see what they can do to solve the issue.

I’m still waiting for replacements to come into stock for shipment. It's now 12/19/22 and replacements are not shipped as of yet. My Vette is out until I can install new wheels.

Corvette C7 Z06 Lingenfelter 6.2L

  • Manual transmission
  • 21,035 miles

One dealer said I cracked these Carbon Fiber Z06 rims but the same year and model was on a lift next to me with the same hairline cracks. The Service person at Corvettes of Houston stated every Corvette with those rims on the Z06 has had a hairline crack in the rear wheels. I worked with Chevy and went to a different dealer and they gave me two new back rims. I'm not happy about that because they are the same rims that will crack again but at least I did not have to pay. I know other Z06 owners who weren't as lucky and they paid for new ones.
