A/C stopped working so I took it to GM, they said its a problem with the a/c condenser, a pebble may have punched a hole in it when driving on the hwy. (Found it kind of odd that they knew what it was right away). They said they couldn't fix because it was not covered under the warranty. What pissed me off is I went home and saw a commercial for a new 2013 Cruze that had a grill cover that automatically activates when your on the hwy. I called GM and opened two cases and they said that it's not covered although it's clearly a design flaw. They said that they re-design the cars all the time in the newer models but the only sh*t that changed with the new model was the problem that they know is present in all 2011 that they refuse to fix.

You can Google Cruze a/c condenser and see how pissed off people are. Funny thing is I was ready to upgrade to an SUV but because of this sad and deceitful behavior on the part of Chevy, the Traverse is no longer an option. Not to mention now the car is leaking coolant which I don't mind fixing because it's wear and tear but it's the principle. Oh. and the throttle body was also replaced at 65000km and it was not covered under warranty because it's no longer considered part of the engine...lol Oh Chevy u suck.

In February, the weather became really warm. I turned on my AC unit and it wasn't working. I took it to the dealer and was told the compressor had been damaged from a rock. My insurance paid for the compressor, less my deductible. But they wouldn't pay for a portion of the repair; a bracket to be installed to protect the compressor. Since this was a design flaw, to me anyway, I requested Chevrolet to pay for this and they did. However, the fix will only be applied once damage occurs. I asked if they would go ahead and put the bracket on my wife's Cruze and they would not. It's only a technical bulletin rather than a recall.
