The vehicle was maneuvered to the emergency lane. The fire department informed the contact that the heater fell apart and released an excessive amount of extremely hot water into the vehicle. The driver sustained second degree burns on her feet as a result. The vehicle was towed to an authorized dealer, but the failure was not diagnosed.
