Cruze 2LT

  • Automatic transmission
  • 50,000 miles

This vehicle has never gotten close to the claimed 38 MPG highway. At 60 MPH, i'm lucky to get 32 MPG and at 70 MPH, it's closer to 29 MPG. It is much worse when it's hot outside.

Cruze LS

  • Automatic transmission
  • 5,800 miles

There is no power when I'm going up a hill. (Even a small hill) I wish I NEVER bought this vehicle. There are so many problems with this vehicle.

Please, I need another vehicle before it dies on me.

Cruze LS 1.8L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 437 miles

I have the exact same issues as Bob with his cruze 1.8lit. flat spot when taking off and when you depress the gas pedal and press again same delay happen 2-3 seconds without response. Oh Yes GM is in the Denial game. They wont even return the call on the matter.

Then they wonder why people by Imports! After 6 Millions Kil.of testing and they never notice this...Come On !

Update from Nov 10, 2011: After reading and watching the videos about the Cruze, I was seriously looking for well built and economical car. And GM seem to have what I was looking for.

This was a big deception as to what is posted on the car window for gas consumption 9.2L/100km/31mi/gal City and 5.6L/km/50mi/gal.I Baby the car and am vey easy on the gas pedal .My driving was mosty HWY at 100 km/hr. my consumption was 34 to 36 mi/gal which is FAR from the 50mi/gal that GM advertises. I can accept variation but not this much!!

Cruze LTZ 1.8L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 17,000 miles

I purchased this vehicle because its window sticker stated 38 estimated mpg , not even close. I took it to the dealer their response is everyones driving habits are different. My average mpg is 24.5 mpg combined. where is my toyota 4 runner i traded in , this was my main reason I traded to save on gas. Our president wants us to buy american to help our economy i learned the hard way. Chevrolet should stand behind this and figure out what is the real problem. What should i do some one help me if you are having the same issue.

Cruze LS 1.8L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 100 miles

From day 1 this car has had horrible gas mileage. City/hi way driving is consistently less than 22 mpg (I am a conservative driver) work round trip is 40 miles with aprox 20 miles hi-way. Possible related issue is car does not coast properly. When foot is off throttle, car slows down immediately.

Update from Sep 18, 2011: now 6,000 miles still can't get better than 23 mpg city/hiway
