The contact owns a 2012 Chevrolet Cruze. The contact stated that while driving at an unknown speed, the check engine warning light illuminated and an abnormal noise was heard coming from the engine cooling fan. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic. The mechanic diagnosed that the thermostat sensor failed. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure.
