Cruze LT 1.4L Turbo

I have a whining noise in my 2012 Chevy Cruze LT 1.4 turbo when the steering wheel is turned to the right only. I know it sounds odd but, has anybody else had this same issue and has it lead to a bigger issue? Has Chevrolet covered this issue with any kind of warranty or recall?
