problem #1

Nov 142014

Cruze 3.2L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 64,000 miles

I was coming off fwy to a stop light, when I proceeded to drive on, it sort of chugged & felt like a skip and I could feel the car slowing as I accelerated. I continued driving but the car got progressively slower & was making a loud high pitch sound at which time the Engine light came on. I proceeded home with hazard lights driving slower than normal but made it the couple miles home & parked it. Never had this problem as the car is just 3 yrs this month with approx. 64K mi..! What the hell!!

Hoping it's the transmission fluid/oil & will check it in the am in the light. Anyone have this problem or have any idea what it might be..? Of course, my warranty is expired & I did not buy an extended one as I intended to trade/upgrade within the next year..

Thanks!
