My 2012 Chevy Cruze would roll backwards on inclines while in drive. I am not talking about rolling a few inches either. If my Cruze was on a hill, in drive, and I took my foot off the brake, the car would roll all the way down the hill. The service tech at the dealership said this was normal and that if I was stopped at a traffic light that was on a hill, just use the parking brake. Seriously? I have owned many cars over the years and never had an automatic transmission do this. With this problem and a few others with the car, I decided to trade my Cruze after having it for 1 year and bought a 2013 Kia Optima SXL. Problem solved!
