The contact owns a 2013 Chevrolet Cruze. The contact stated that while driving at approximately 30 mph, the check engine warning light illuminated and the vehicle failed to accelerate. The vehicle could be restarted and the check engine warning light did not illuminate. The failure recurred on multiple occasions. The vehicle was taken to a dealer for diagnostic testing, the technician stated that the fuel pump needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 500.
