Well, where should I start? I've had the car now a little over 3 years. Had it to a licensed mechanic and was told all the coolant hoses had to be replaced and my water supply had to replaced. He showed me the entire area and items that had to be replaced new. Total of $284.50 in parts alone. The water supply had imploded on itself from what the mechanic said.

Once I looked at it, I knew what he meant by it. The end of the intake hose collapsed onto itself. Why would a dealership make a water supply which deals with heat and liquids and pressure out of plastic? I told the parts department at Chevy that's like making the windshield out of stretchy wrapping plastic. He also told me they have sold a lot of these water supplies and relief hoses - surprise, surprise.

As for the radiator and pressure hoses, they all had dry rot. Wow, dry rot after only 3 years. My car has 105,000 kilometers on it and it has to be what they call a Monday built vehicle. So nearly 300 dollars in parts, $50 for coolant and god knows the exact amount for the mechanic now, but it's costly. Personally I and also the mechanic think this water supply should have been made out of metal. You got hot liquid, pressure, heat and vibrations from the motor. But it probably wont be fixed because the dealer/company is making money hand over fist because of parts alone.

I've had issues with this car since the beginning. In the first year, it saw the chevy dealership 9 times for issues from vacuum pump to the motor quitting just 3 days after getting the car with 355... yes, 355 kilometers on it when I bought it. It had just 5kms on it and not 350k kilometers. The side windows quitting or window bars breaking in two and more issues.

In my opinion as well as my friends, Chevy really dropped the ball on this one. My repair cost could have been cheaper if I did it myself, since I do know how to do it, but I currently only have use of one arm due to a work accident. But still, this issue has to be dealt with. In my opinion it is a safety concern because imagine driving down the road and the water supply caves in, blocking coolant inside motor. A number of possibilities may occur. Your imagination can take care of that. Also, use that imagination on this issue - if it happened on a busy highway with lots of traffic and you have passengers. I'll leave it at that. All I can say is my next vehicle will NOT be a Chevy/Pontiac/GMC/Buick/Jeep since the same company owns them all - "GMC".
