I've had my 2014 Chevy Cruze for about 2 years now. Back in December 2018 it started having a lot of issues. Antifreeze was pouring out, it was spitting and sputtering, rough idle, and overheating, made an appointment with Chevy dealership. They had my car about a week. The said water pump was failing, thermostat was out, cooler outlet hoses needed to be replaced. Not even 12 hours later I was taking it back in for the same problems. Engine lights were still coming on. This time they fixed the oil cooler line, and crankshaft. A few days passed and again I was still having the same issues. Took it back, and they fixed the crankcase ventalation, camshaft cover, intake manifoldintake air pressure sensor. Maybe 2 weeks passed and I finally got upset and took it 45 mins to another shop, within a few hours I got a call that my head gasket was blown. I was still having all the same issues as I did when it first messed up. I ended up having to take it back to the other dealership who had been working on it. They kept me car for 29 days while fixing my blown head gasket. They resurfaced it and fixed clamps. Well, Thursday July 11 I was at my bosses house trying to back up under a shade tree. When I started the car, it sounded horrible. It was just spitting and sputtering. I out it in reverse and hit the gas. My car started rolling toward! it would not back it. I went to hit the brake and it did nothing. I had to pull my emergancy break before I ran into her fense.I immediately got on the phone with the dealership 45 mins away. Set my appointment up. Later that night on the way to take my kids to vbs, we were stopped at a red light. While trying to cross over a main highway the car just started spitting and sputtering. It was barely moving even though I had the gas pedal to the floor. Got it to dealership 45 mins away Friday 12th. Anothe blown head gasket. That car is not safe

I started having issue last year with the engine. I called Chevy and was advised my warranty expired 12 day's before my complaint. After doing some research I learned that multiple consumer's across the country are having the same issues with the heating system and engine. I feel my car should have been recalled. The vehicle will just shut off mid traffic without warning. I have invested more than 1000 dollars and it's still having issues.

We have had to replace the entire def system twice, replaced two knock sensors, had to replace the diesel partilec sensor, among many other time being the shop. This car has not ran right since we bought it. Now, everytime we start the car and begin to drive it, we get a warning about the stabiltrak not working, then powersteering goes out, and entire car shuts down and goes black when the car is powered off. This seems to be a very common issue within these vehicles.

Parked the car, got out and smelled gasoline. Looked all around the car and did not see any gas on the ground. Opened the hood and found a silver disc in the fuel line spraying fuel all over the engine compartment. It is a fuel injection pressure damper that failed. Dealership is saying the part is obsolete and can not get another one.

My 2014 Chevy Cruze experienced a fuel leak in the fuel supply hose. The leak was spraying right near the air induction on the cowl panel and dripping onto the exhaust. Obviously this was a major fire hazard. The entire front front fuel feed line needed to be replaced. A quick youtube search shows that I am not alone in experiencing this. See the video below. Driving home from work at 11:15pm on September 8th, nearing the toll plaza in gary, Indiana the car made a sudden sound kindve like a bang, the engine shut off, all the lights on the dash came on, I came to a stop and tried several times to start the vehicle and it would not do anything. Every time I tuned the key to the off position and then turned it to accessory, the dash displays service air bag and service power steering. The windows, door locks, truck release will not work. I had to call my insurance company and set up a tow to get the car back home. I had to be at work at 7am that day, I worked 16 hours, and didn't get home till 1:30am on September 9th. The car is in my driveway, it will not start or even turn over.

Vehicle hesitates when merging onto highway traffic. This began happening after I owned the car for more than 3 years without similar incidents. Its dangerous because just when you need power to merge, the power dips instead which is potentially likely to end in being rear-ended. Vehicle was taken to the Chevy dealership where it was purchased. They kept it four days and stated they could find nothing wrong because they found no codes. They state it might be due to "turbo lag" which is normal. It is not normal as I have owned the car almost 4 years before this began happening.

The car has less than 40,000 miles on it and the catalytic converter needs replaced? the Chevy garage folks told my 23 year old daughter it could break suddenly while accelerating. They said it was shot. Next, they gave her a quote of over $900 to replace it. They said their cost was $750. Not sure which is more dangerous, the bad catalytic converter or the Chevy garage.

There are gas and exhaust fumes in the cabin. The condition is intermittent and subtle. Three different GM shops have examined the car in 2018. One has witnessed the gas smell but noted they could not find the source. The other two stated they could not replicate the fumes. We first noted odors when the car was purchased in 2014 but we did not realize what they were. The condition has intensified raising our concerns. We have also began to make connection to health issues. Our family's health has been affected.

Exhaust fumes entering air vents. Taken in to dealer several times and they cannot fix the problem. My daughter has been sick and we keep explaining to the that fumes have caused her to have pneumonia, sinus issues, dry eyes, sore throat, migraine headaches, sleepy driving and hours after driving, confusion, anxiety, nausea. The dealers mechanic solution is not to use ac or heat and keep windows open. My husband drove it 20 minutes in traffic and got sick when he reach the dealer for 3rd repair request in 2 months. Engineer from GM is looking at car May 2018. My daughters health is continuing to improve not driving the Cruze. Not one person should be sick or die from a car that has a defect that cant be resolved.

July 2017 I had a GM (voluntary) manufacture recall completed on my car for the nox sensor position 1 (def sensor). On January 16, 2018 the nox sensor 2 needed to be replaced, cost $700. I was very far from a dealership, and when I finally got to a dealership I was at 16 miles before the car speed would go to the 4mph speed reduction. I live in Michigan and the weather has been very cold. I would have been in a jam if I hadn't made it to a dealership soon, because the car wouldn't have been able to go over 4mph. The nox position 2 sensor should have be part of the recall when the position 1 sensor was replaced.

  • 17,000 miles
My car is a 2014 Chevrolet Cruze and only had 17,000 miles on it when my fuel pump went out while I was driving down a busy street at night. Before that happened I noticed for several days before that my gas was burning up at an alarming rate. Not even getting 25 miles when I had put $20 in tank. The day this happened I left my house where I was parked in the garage, my first stop was a gas station. Upon leaving there I made it half a block and car died in the middle of traffic. I could not go anywhere just dead. Tried the battery, tried to jump it but nothing worked, so I had it towed home.. the next day I called the dealership and they towed it to the dealership. They had my car for a couple days before they told me I had something in my gas, sent me a picture of this measuring cup with 2 different separated liquids in it. One clear and one light brown. Said it would be $1013. And change to fix this problem and since it was vandalism it was not under warranty. I was very upset so he suggested I call insurance and claim through them. Went back and forth with them trying to figure out when the insurance adjuster was going to be there. 2 weeks went by and I was still paying for a car rental and they hadn't started on my car yet. Insurance adjuster came out and said they would cover if it was vandalism but he didn't think it was vandalism. I didn't either since I was parked in the garage and I was having fuel problems before. So my deductible was kind of high and insurance said it wasn't worth it to cover for that little bit of money and I agreed. It took them longer than 2 weeks to fix it. They said the bad fuel made the fuel pump go out, and I'm not so sure because tons of people complain about the fuel pump in different online forums. I'd like to know if there is more people complaining of this. Uploaded 2 photos and also have paperwork info from insurance.

The car was taken in to be routinely serviced and it was noticed that there was an oil leak. The dealership only provide a temporary fix. Trying to get an apt as a followup was pointless, because the dealership indicated that they were busy. Well, the car caught fire and the serv ice dept. Refused to acknowledge that there was a problem and that they were too busy the car was being driven on a highway, there was a popping sound, and then the car caught fire.

The fuel gauges, both digital and analog, showed that the distance to empty was 70 miles. Actually, there was no gasoline left in the tank and the vehicle came to a stop on the highway. This happened twice. After the first time, the vehicle was towed to the dealer, West herr Chevrolet in buffalo, NY, which described the problem as running out of gasoline. The fuel gauges are defective. When the tank was filled after running out of gasoline, the gauges continued to read that there was only 70 miles to empty for an additional 24 hours or more.

Vehicle riding normal and suddenly starts decelerating. Pushing on gas pedal only makes car slow quicker. Has occurred 3 times on interstate highways and once on city streets. Have been back to dealer 3 times under warranty with no fix. Car has 33,175 miles and dealer wants $99 to "drive it around and see if they can determine the cause". to resume driving you must stop, shift into neutral, and give enging a bit of gas. Then you can resume driving normally. I shifted into neutral while driving, but again when I pushed accelerator the speed dropped faster again. The electronics give no codes or lights and 3 occurrences were at highway speed of 60 mph with no room to maneuver over to side of road. Today I nearly had multiple cars behind me crash as they braked or swerved to miss me. Dealer is marhoferchevrolet in stow, Ohio.
