Bought the car (1.4, LT) brand new in late 14. Barely 3 years old and only 43000 miles on it. One of wheel bearings is already going out. Of course, it is not covered by bumper to bumper warranty which expired at 36000 miles. It costs 450$ to have the wheel bearing replaced at the dealership. From my research, many GM cars have wheel bearing problems (Sonic, Trax, Encore, Malibu, Impala, ..). They fail very early. In most other brands, wheel bearings last for ever or very rarely have to be changed. This common failure in the wheel bearing is obviously either because of a flaw in the design or inferior quality material. But they don't fix it for you. You made the mistake of buying a GM car.
Only an untrustworthy company does this to its customers (across models). Once you bought the car, you're responsible for all the built-in troubles. It's amazing that they get away with this. Please spread the word; don't buy GM.

Brand new 2014 Chevy Cruze goes in for it's first oil change and doesn't come out for almost 3 MONTHS because there's a recall on the front axle but they don't have parts to replace!!!! Since getting it back have received 2 more recalls. One is on the front console going out...which it is now going out and coming back on a few minutes later...frankly haven't researched it enough to know what the recall is all about because haven't had the car a year yet and really don't have the time to keep bringing it in. Brought car in because of a whirling/roaring noise in the front end that can be heard at speed of 35, more pronounced at 50-65mph. Mechanic said the hub, wheel bearing needs to be replaced. This is not something I expect at low mileage of 36,200...of course it's out of warranty and we bought extended which is covering but of course we have to pay $100.00 deductible. We are not happy with this car at all!!!

Have had nothing but headaches with my Cruze. Camera went out, lost headlights, my blind spot light on mirrors stayed on, lost radio, a hole melted in my valve cover. They plugged the hole and told me to drive it. I made it 200 feet and it smoked and no power. They put a new one on. Then I had to replace the catalytic converter. Now I have a bad wheel bearing and the parts stores don't have one that fits my car. So I called the Chevy dealer. He told me 152 dollars. I told them to order it and they said they couldn't get one. What are these cars, throw away ones? Mad as hell in Brownington, Vt .
