electrical makes power steering fail-car stalls-wont start
On Saturday 6/12/16, (car has approx 1,000 miles on it now) I was on my way to meet a client when out of nowhere, the following lights came on my dashboard: service power steering, abs, traction control, parking brake, service engine light. My power steering went out and my gauges all went to zero while I was driving 55 MPH (gas, temp, speedometer, tach). I was able to pull over, put it in park and shut it off. I tried to restart, nothing. The doors started locking/unlocking by themselves, dash would go black then come back on, car would not go into any gear. After about 25 minutes of just sitting there, It started. I called a two truck and had it towed to my dealer. Of course I didnt hear anything o it until Monday, they said it was fixed, a bad connection with a battery cable.
I went and picked it up around 4pm Monday, drove back to where i live an hour away, parked went to a store, came back out started the car, drove about 25 feet and the exact same thing happened. Keep in mind this is DANGEROUS! I called the dealership, it did start this time after about 10 minutes, I was able to drive it home. The next day the sent a tow truck to pick it up. I have not had it since. Today is 6/17/16. The service dept thought they had it fixed on Tuesday, so they let the service mgr take it home that night (about a 60 mile drive from what I understand) to be sure, no issues. Wed. morning they got it back and had a technician drive it around town for a while and the EXACT SAME problem happened to him.
The service dept has been checking and doing everything GM has been asking them to do, replace both battery cables etc. None of this has fixed the problem. I want a different car. I have not even made my first payment yet and it has broken down 3 times
Update from Jun 22, 2016: got car back today 6/22/16-been down at dealer for 10 days now-they brought it back to me, i went out about an hour later to start it and it wont start, same exact lisghts vcome on AGAIN> they are coming to pick it BACK up with a two truck.

Me and my husband bought this car last year and really wish we could give it back. Between the car dealership trying to rip us off and the car insurance company referring us back to the dealership I'm getting a lawyer involved at this point. The lights in the car ramdomly go off for the tires, check engine, service engine, air bags and my windshield wipers also don't work. My insurance company is stating that this defect is the result of a manufacturing error but in trying to contact the manufacturer I was referred back to the dealership who keeps charging me to look at my car but won't fix it even though the car has a bumper to bumper warranty. This is the worst first car buying experience ever and I would never go back to Chevy or allow any of my friends or family to. The frustrates me the most is being charged almost 500.00 for this car the be looked at by Chevy but no work fixed as well as the mechanic misdiagnosising my car time and time again.
