The center bearing on my driveshaft broke. I bought the car used but in good condition. I did not hit anything with my vehicle to cause the bearing to break. I simply made a turn and that is when I noticed the noise and that it was driving horribly. As I traveled a few more feet down the road it just got worse. I took it into a Chevy dealer and I am currently awaiting on repair.

My 2005 Chevy Equinox began shaking when driving greater than 50 mph. The repair shop found it was the drive shaft. The carrier bearing was detached and needed replaced. I am still waiting for this part to arrive so that my car can be repaired. How this is not a recall is beyond me. I researched and found greater than 15-20 complaints on line stating the same thing for their 2005 Equinox. Please help me. I am getting no where with Chevy and they don't want to cover the part either.
