I recently bought a 2006 Chevrolet Equinox and the floorboard is staying wet, like standing water. I've researched the issue and it appears this is an ongoing issue with them. This is a safety hazard as it makes it feet wet and slip off the break and gas peddles. Why hasnt GM fixed this" not to count the electrical part involved! can we say fire hazard?" come on GM, do your job!

Any time there is rain or going through a car wash my car has a leak of water that collects in my floorboard. I have read a million reviews online at chevroletforum.com and numerous youtube videos documenting the same problem with the make and model. If GM plans on charging for an upgrade like a sunroof then it should properly work. The reason for concern on this, the water leaks through the dash and even sometimes collects in the light fixtures of the roof. With standing water on the floor boards I have a huge concern for my safety from being electrocuted or being E posed to any type of mold caused from the wet carpet. There are apparently issues with several seals when it comes to this model and I feel it has been overly documented that is is a safety concern. Not to mention of driving in rain which is sometimes inevitable, you will be driving in your own monsoon. I have contacted the dealer and the are refusing to state that their is any safety concern. However, they are not driving my vechicle, I am. I have even personally emailed Chevrolet about the issue and they are stating since there is no active recall opened that everything will be an out of pocket expense even though this is a design, hardware malfunction. Not something cause by wear and tear, like tires or brakes. This leak has also been know to start causing electrical issues from power lines being saturated in standing water. My car starts making a clicking noise and the power will fluctuate because of water leaking inside cabin and underneath dash where power cables are exposed. This has caused my car to stop working while driving on the highway previously.

3.4L GM power plant used in untold amounts of vehicles blowing head gaskets, and intake gaskets since 1996. I design flaw that was never addressed. They should be held accountable for that. We cant keep allowing companies to take advantage of hard working people buy selling them junk. All of them need to be held to a higher standard.

Hit a one ton low bed dump truck, the whole front end of my SUV was demolished, my airbags didn't deploy and I ended up with really bad whiplash from the accident, to where I'm still in major pain! wondering if there was a lawsuit against this? never dealt with a wreck this bad, I was just curious!

I ran off the side of the road into a guardrail and could not stop until I was on top of the guardrail into an embankment. My entire front end was destroyed as well as most of the underneath of the car. My face hit the steering wheel causing me to lose consciousness as well as giving me a black eye, crooked teeth, cuts, broken dental appliances, and my teeth went through my lip. I strongly believe my airbags should have deployed and prevented the impact of my face to the steering wheel since I thought that is what airbags are for. My car was totaled.

The contact owns a 2006 Chevrolet Equinox. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds she noticed a loud noise coming from the front passenger side wheel. The vehicle was taken to a dealer and they advised her that the wheel bearing had failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired for the front passenger wheel bearing for the fourth time in four years. In addition, the contac stated that the emergency brake was between the cup holders and if a cup was placed inside, it would block the emergency brake from being engaged. The failure mileage was approximately 36,000. The VIN was unavailable.
