Equinox

  • 85,000 miles
ABS and tc light comes on and brakes give in and will not stop as before. 2006 Chevrolet Equinox. Different codes and readings when hooked up on machine by mechanic. Master cylinder and sensor, left front hub bearing replaced with sensor and ABS module replaced. Still same problem.

My ABS brakes were locking while driving and made it very difficult to stop car which required repeated stomping on brake pedal. Dealer repaired front hub bearings and sensors to correct problem. Dealer or GM does not consider this a safety issue even though this made it difficult to stop vehicle and also common problem with this vehicle. Cost to repair was at owners expense.
