Equinox LT 3.4L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 144,158 miles

While driving the transmission goes into limp home mode, it fail safes into 4th gear, the issue also turns on the check engine light, but there are no codes when checked with a code reader, the problem resets when the engine is restarted, the engine light stays on still, but eventually goes away,

Does anyone have any insight to this issue?
