THIS INACCURATE FUEL GAUGE PROBLEM HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR ABOUT 1 1/2 YEARS NOW. IT SOMETIMES WORKS BUT USUALLY NOT. EVEN IF I THINK IT IS WORKING, I AM UNCERTAIN OF ITS ACCURACY. FORTUNATELY I CAN SELECT FOR THE APPROX MILEAGE I CAN TRAVEL WITH THE FUEL IN THE CAR, THAT PART DOES SEEM TO BE ACCURATE. MY DAUGHTER JUST GOT HER LICENSE AND WANTS TO DRIVE THE CAR BUT I WOULD LIKE FOR HER TO HAVE AN ACCURATE FUEL LEVEL INDICATOR TO RELY ON.
I HAVE SEEN THIS SIMILAR PROBLEM REPORTED ON OTHER 2007 GM MODELS BUT NOT EQUINOX, YOU CAN'T TELL ME THEY DIDN'T USE THE SAME DEFECTIVE FUEL SENSOR IN THE EQUINOX AS THEY DID IN THE TRAILBLAZER, ENVOY OR BUICK RAINIER. SUPPOSEDLY THOSE OWNERS GOT A NOTICE AND GM IS PAYING HALF OF THE BILL TO REPLACE THEIRS.
KEEP SPREADING THE WORD CAUSE I'M SURE IT'S MORE THAN JUST A SELECT FEW WHO ARE HAVING THIS PROBLEM.
