The engine light would come on along with the service traction control/stabilizer light, and the engine power would reduce. So far all lights are staying off and it is working right. Happens every year, but is usually caused by the EGR needing to be replaced, this was replaced and all the lights came on, so tried the throttle body sensors and so fa so good.

stabillitrak check engine light slows car down when driving
I just spent 1327 to fix the fuel line which was recalled by GM 2 weeks ago and apparently this is under the recall however, the check engine light still comes on and now the stabillitrak light comes on and slows the vehicle down to the point where you can not steer it and can cause an accident, there are 3 other recalls out there on this vehicle for the windshield mounting, airbags, seat sensor calibration airbags roof rail airbags, this car was barely driven only has 39000 miles on it and this is a hazard if anything happens to my son driving it to the dealer I will sue GM

We bought this car in May of 2007 and by Sept of 2007 the check engine light was already coming on. I took it in but they just cleared it from the system every trime. The check engine light would come on randomly through out the duration of owning this vehicle on a weekly basis (it is now 2014) and I never really know when there is something wrong with my car.

A few times each winter when the temperature dips below -20C, I get a message saying that all-wheel drive has been disabled and to service all-wheel drive. Usually when the weather warms up, the message disappears.
Yesterday, the same message came on as well as one about servicing stabilitrak. This time the temperature outside
was above 0 Celsius. I made or home, left the car over night and when I started it this morning the warnings were gone.
So this is a worrying thing that keeps happening. When the warnings do go away, everything seems to work fine again. So it's really bizarre!
Update from May 13, 2019: Driving down the highway, I hit a pot hole and the stabilitrak and AWD warnings came on and would not go away. I took it into a mechanic, and the code reader pointed to a damaged EGR valve. It was replaced with an aftermarket EGR, which didn't take. Then, it was replaced with an OEM EGR and has been working fine since (3 weeks).
