Power steering failure. Immediately after start up power steering did not operate. Dashboard warning read service stabilitrack. Drove home approximately 8 miles without power assist. After restarting the vehicle at home power steering appeared to be normal, but service stabilitrack warning was still lit. A quick look on the internet showed multiple instances of this problem in Chevrolet Malibu with similar power steering. Car will be brought to dealer next week. This is a safety issue.
