I have had the car at the dealership because of this problem on 9/14/15 and was told that it needed a new cabin filter. Took it to my mechanic and he could not find any leaks and the cabin filter was fine, he re-charged the air. It worked fine until 6/05/17 when again I had warm air blowing. I had it checked again for leaks, none found- recharged again and it was fine until 10/18 - again just warm air.
Took it to another mechanic, he checked for leaks, none found, recharged and added leak sealer just in case the leak was so small that it could not be detected. Cost $175
However, now I was told that the compressor needed to be replaced also, additional cost $1,200
I checked on the internet and found that there is a class action lawsuit filed.
Called Chevrolet and was told to take it to the dealership.
Took it to the dealer yesterday and was told the condenser needed to be replaced, Chevrolet would not offer any assistance because I am not a "loyal customer".$800 plus tax
This morning I received a call, the compressor also needs to be replaced another $600 +
This time Chevrolet offered to pay $160 WOW
I purchased the car with 49,385 miles and added a total of 14,900 miles since 11/15/2013 This was a lease vehicle purchased at Enterprise.
