With all the hours the dealership has had our car, one would think they would have figured it out. I am beginning to think GM knew about the problem and how to fix it but let the warranty run out first.

Just had in shop foa recall in July . . Now started having oil use problems, no leaks, runs like a diesel freight train. last 2 days smelled fuel in car. oil engine light always on. Just got recall notice for excessive oil consumption problems on Saturday, the same day my car died n won't start since.

So, this was the THIRD time in 6 months that I had problems with my Equinox. I was driving when all of a sudden all the lights on the dash came on. The car started hitching and bucking. I took it back to the dealer, again...This time they replaced the actuators and the timing chain. I am sooooo sick of this car.

So, this was the second time that I started having problems with my Equinox. I noticed that my gas mileage was getting worse. Then, I was at a stoplight and I started hearing a pinging type sound again. Took the car back to the dealership. They said that it was the timing chain AGAIN.
They replaced the complete camshaft and it took about a week and a half to get the car back.

I got my 2010 Chevy Equinox on January 4, 2019. Ever since the second week, I've had it I've been having trouble with it at first I thought it just because I needed a tune up and oil change after I got those the problem continued. So around the end of February, I put the SUV in the shop they said it was the Water Pump/Balance Shaft Chain the entire thing cost $669.49. I was very excited to get my SUV back on March 15, 2019, just in time for me to go to out of town just to find out the car is making the same noise and doing the same rough riding.
I took the car back in the shop for a diagnostic in April they said that they had a lot of vehicles with the same and to file a complaint. I put the car down since then and it's just sitting under garage taking my money. The car also cut off on me multiple times the latest time it happened to me, I was driving down the street and I couldn't accelerate and it just cut off and I had to put on hazards and I almost got hit.
