This is a common Chevy problem.... When running the air on vent.... it just smells musty. And the car over the years has developed an overall stinkiness when you start it up. Doesn't smell oily, or chemically... just old and musty.

I first noticed this issue about a year or two after I bought my 'nox. I thought it was me but I do shower daily, lol. I took it to my dealership on 2-3 separate occasions over the years to investigate it. The service advisor told me it's basically a poor design where mold builds up due to water accumulating on a part below the hood. He suggested that I spray Windex on the air intake (under the hood, immediately below the windshield) and run the fan on high. I haven't yet tried this fix but I will do so this spring and report back.
