I bought a brand new 2011 Equinox LTZ from Dian Sauer Chevrolet, 700 Niles Road, SE, Warren, Ohio 44483-5951, and have only had it serviced by them as recommended.
I brought my SUV to them on May 31st, 2012 due to the radio system going completely out, $4,000.00 GPS not working, Time and all custom settings will not stay set, and CD Player constantly skipped; nothing wrong with CDs either!
Invoice #288238 from Diane Sauer Chevrolet indicated what all they did in an attempt to fix the problems. They tried reprogramming, but didn't work. Open Case # 71-10731888898. They replaced radio assembly and programmed as needed (with claim codde 80CE7). Company did not charge anything for the services.
Everything appeared to be working except I noticed that the "XM-Sirus RADIO ICON" was no longer present and therefore, I am unable to get satellite radio on my 2011 SUV even though I have it on other vehicles, and initially had it when I bought it brand new.
Diane Sauer's refused to fix the issue since I didn't notify them immediately afterwards. I didn't know that anything was absent until I attempted to us XM Radio on the SUV but was unable to due to the absent XM RADIO ICON.
On 5-2-2019, I called the Dealership, Diane Sauer's and they indicated that it would cost me over $1,200.00 and also they can no longer get a "2011" radio! They were completely unwilling to make this problem right since they are the ones that apparently put a "new radio system in and programmed it" but failed to check and verify that all features that were bought initially were restored! I am very upset with the Dealership's complete lack of concern and that is the reason that I am posting this complaint against them.
I also called other dealerships to see if they could help me resolve the problem and they informed me that I really should take Diane Sauer's to "small-claims" court and force them to do right, but I am not interested in that. The dealership indicated that they would have to tear out the radio and get the vin# on that radio and it most likely won't be the "accurate" number since the dealership probably put something other in.
It makes me sick that businesses that one trust, doesn't care about their customers, just the sales!
I will never go back to Diane Sauers! I am very upset that that dealership's service center didn't repair my SUV properly and has refused to make matters right!
