Vehicle is on stationary state. (1) the "rear door lift gate would drop slowly", but it is now becoming harmfully worse as being used. I believe this is due to poor quality parts on the lift itself. This is not common to happen in other autos. Repair is inevitable. (2) the passenger front seat is locked up. No forward or backward movement, although it is reclining. It doesn't matter if vehicle is moving or not.

The headrests on this car push my head so far forward that I have terrible pain while driving. I also cannot see where I am going due to the extreme angle of my head jutting forward. Not too safe--any reasonable person can figure this out. In addition, the car is burning excessive oil. Also, when trying to accelerate after slowing down in heavy traffic, it bogs. Again, not very safe. This car is a piece of crap--never again will I get a Chevrolet. This happens all the time!!

The drivers seat power adjuster came unscrewed and the seat dropped down. There is a recall on this issue, but this vehicle is not included in the recall. I have fixed the issue twice now since December 2014. I have pictures.

I received a recall notice in September 2014... GM recall 14271 after making numerous phone calls over the last 3 months to both the local Chevy dealer and Chevrolet customer assistance center there is still no part available to remedy this safety issue. The only response is the "parts are not available" and "we have no idea when they will be in."

The contact owns a 2011 Chevrolet Equinox. The contact started the ignition and noticed that the front passenger air bag warning indicator turned off while a pillow was positioned in the front passenger seat. The failure occurred whenever the vehicle was in operation. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer where they informed that the air bag functioned correctly as designed. The failure mileage was 800. Updated 3/14/11 the dealer suspected the seat was heat sensitive. Updated 04/25/11
