problem #2

May 082015

Equinox LT 4 cyl

  • Automatic transmission
  • 101,000 miles

The car vibrates when driving and idles extremely rough when stopped or when coasting in bumper to bumper traffic. Many engine codes. Completely annoying. Dealerships "can't duplicate the problem" and implied I was making it up. I sent a video showing how rough the car idles and suddenly "oh there is definitely something wrong with the car." Replaced coil spark plugs, replaced coil packs, had seals replaced, sensors cleaned, catalytic converter and O2 sensor replaced.... nothing has helped. This car is a POS.

Equinox LT 2.4L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 16 miles

I have a steady vibration at 25-30, 45-50. It occurs when passing through these speed ranges or at a steady state within the range. The car is not bucking, but a low level grinding/vibration is felt and heard. I took it to the dealer at <2000 miles - they said its normal - live with it. A couple of weeks later a GM Engineer called up surveying about new cars. Described the exact same symptoms to him - he said its not normal.
