My engine light came on, was told cam shaft sensor so I had it fixed. The very next day the light came on again, took it back to the dealer and this time it's the cruise control module sensor...really ??? How much is that ? All I'm trying to do is get my car inspected so I can register it.

While driving to work, the Check Engine light came on and after pulling off to the side of the road, the Check Oil light came on. Checked the oil and found out it was empty, so had the car towed to our local mechanic. Paid $2,359 to replace/repair the frozen PCV valve only to have the main bearing go out on the engine. Now we're looking at a cost of $5,602 for a used engine installed or $8,240 for a new engine.

Cam Shaft Position Sensor, Check Engine light came on to replace just like the 2011- Is this the same recall? How do we find out. It appears to be a common problem in the 2013 Chevrolet Equinox also- Who do we contact to get it recalled and fixed??

The car engine light is on after the issues with the car dying at low speeds. code shows it is the camshaft position actuator as the issue.
I know about the 2010/2011 recall but I am a 2013. Did the anyone have this covered by the Dealer?

p0011 error code
Driving from Hoopeston, Illinois and back from Bloomington, Illinois the Check Engine Light came on. We have had this vehicle for 2days now. Found the Code means Camshaft Position Sensor was out of position or off. Not very happy with Government Motors right now.

I bought a used 2013 Chevy Equinox from Byers Chevrolet in April 2020. It drove GREAT the first few months I had it. I bought it with 125K on it, and I live where I work, so I barely drive it.
I started noticing issues with the oil because it was running rough, so I googled it to find that there's a HUGE issue with GM motors in 2013 Chevy Equinox's. We kept oil in it and checked it regularly until it completely shut down trying to get on the freeway, so we had it towed to our house. It fired back up a few days later when I took it to the first mechanic (of 3).
Nobody could figure it out until I took it to the THIRD shop. The third shop had it for a week, FINALLY figured out that its a GM Engine issue, and told me GM KNOWS about this issue and refuses to do anything about it. My engine is now toast and I no longer have a reliable vehicle. I called Byers where I got it but they wont help because it was bought As - Is... EVEN THOUGH THEY KNOW ITS THEIR ISSUE! I have always been a die hard Chevy buyer - that's all I have ever owned. NOT anymore! I will buy Dodge before I buy another POS Chevy.
