When I accelerate or drive it hard I get the odor of gasoline. Sometimes it's so strong you would think that I pulled up to a gas pump. Sent it to the GM shop, they said nothing was wrong with it. It was a normal thing, so when it blows me up cause I smoke will I be heard then.
I'm not a mechanic but I'm not stupid either. I don't think you should smell gas when your driving your car. It's a fuel injected car so what's up with that? Has anyone else have this to happen to them? I'm not crazy, this is really happening.I will watch it more carefully to see how many times it does it & how often. I will keep on this until I get the answers I need to get it fixed

When the car is running, it's a significant spray of fuel from this line. When the car is off, it usually doesn't release any fuel.
I'm in the process of replacing the 'return fuel line.' It's a pain in the ass. 2007-2012 Chevy Equinox's had a recall for this issue issued, and it's a major safety hazard for fire. GM should admit this is a continual problem, and issue a recall.
I'd love to be compensated for my time and effort to fix this issue since it's not under recall, and the dealership won't fix it at GM's expense. It's not "normal" maintenance when it's a defect.
