I was driving home and my engine started making a noise, so I pulled over to the gas station, where I could see engine oil was leaking. I had my friend bring me a couple quarts of oil which I put it in and drove to where I get my oil changed. By the time I had drove that 10 miles those two quarts of oil had pretty much leaked out of my car. He informed me that my rear main seal was blown and to take it to the dealership. I called them because the oil was pouring out of my car at the same rate as if you tipped a pop bottle upside down and let it pour out. The dealership told me because I didn't have warranty left on my car and it wasn't covered under the class action lawsuit that they couldn't help me unless I was willing to pay for it. So now I'm sitting with a car that I have a large amount left to pay on that I can't afford to get fixed.

On 2/10/23 my 2015 Equinox main seal blew and had to be replace costing $1423. Four years ago, same issue occurred, paid $1,400 and month later the engine blew during an extremely cold winter. Luckily the engine was under warranty, however this issue should not happen again with a brand new engine. I will never build a Equinox or any car from Chevy. Nothing but issues with this car.
