While driving on the interstate at 75mph with cruise control on, vehicle began acting sluggish and rpm's were going up and down. Took cruise off and attempted to accelerate with no luck. Merged over to slow lane, then to the shoulder. By that time my engine was dead and vehicle would not restart. When tow truck picked up, there was a large puddle of oil under it. Shop also noted large puddle of oil after drop off. There were NO warning symptoms at all for this, I've changed the oil regularly (was actually coming up on my next change the following weekend) and no warning lights at all were on. Shop called to say that I have a hole in my engine block. They weren't sure what happened just yet, only that they could visibly see a hole and virtually no oil (all had leaked out).
